Tech Notes:
Arrived expecting an acoustic guitar accompaniment, so was ready with a DI and a couple of mics for the guitar, but ended up with a rehearsal studio keyboard that had no direct output; just a pair of speakers built into it. It actually sounded ok in the room, so went with two DPA 4061's right next to the speakers and a mic on the floor nearby. For the singers I wasn't sure how to approach it in a close quarters filming space, so had a pair of Sennheiser MKH 8060 shotguns over the top and lav mics hidden on both singers.

In the mix I found that the bleed from the piano was a little too much on the overheads to get it sounding really nice without getting "phasey", so relied heavily on the DPA lav mics, and was surprised how well they EQ'd for vocal performance. The final mix was basically all DPA 4061's as the main sources and really goes to show the quality of those mics, even over the Audio Ltd A10 radios they were plugged into.
