WaterBear | Food For Thought
Featuring Douglas McMaster - founder of the world's first zero-waste food restaurant, and Simmie Vedi a Freelance Chef, FOOD FOR THOUGHT explores the creative ways humans and the food industry itself are re-imagining food waste. It’s about a creative movement that many of us do not know about yet - a movement that truly has the power to change the world.
My involvement here was originally to record all of the voice over and some sound effects on a single shoot day, but in a disastrous turn of events - Douglas was unable to attend the shoot due to testing positive for Covid at the last minute; then after lunch Simmie had to get back to Bristol after coming down with some sort of stomach bug. Leaving me with a handful of incidental sound to record and no voice recordings...
On my second day on the project I was sent to SILO to meet with Douglas and record his voiceover, which we recorded in a storage cupboard in the back of the restaurant. I think it came out quite well all things considered.

- Sennheiser MKH 8060 for the VO.
