La Fiesta is an educational short film for students learning a foreign language. It was shot on location in Valencia, with a skeleton crew over the course of just 48 hours. In terms of kit we went with what we saw as the most efficient possible with regards to setup time; Recorder and boom, with minimal radio mics. We ran with a Sennheiser MKH 60 for exteriors and Schoeps CMC6 MK41 for interiors; only using my Audio Ltd A10 and Sennheiser 5212-II radio mics if there was no other way of getting the coverage. Wireless timecode was sent to the camera via Timecode Systems USO.
